Headed down to the Occupy Wall Street rally (#occupywallstreet) on Friday for the first time since they posted up in Liberty Square 2 weeks ago, September 17th, 2011. Such a crazy scene to see what amounts to a fully functional internet village set up in the middle of a public square in lower Manhattan, complete with a kitchen, library, media hub, cigarette rolling station and numerous air mattresses, sleeping bags and hand-painted signage dotting the ground.... Things were pretty calm early on in the day when I got there around noon, but as word got out that Radiohead might be making a surprise appearance performing later in the day at 4pm, the area suddenly became packed with on-lookers and the action heated up...
