Platinum OG Southern Cali Trip

Spent a long Labor Day weekend out West with Sara visiting friends and exploring Southern Cali. Started off in Malibu, met some great folks @ Vital Zuman Sustainable Farms right along the PCH... some of the freshest produce I've ever seen! Really nice people too... can't wait to go back next time I'm out that way. Fell asleep on the beach one night, drove around checking out the various scenic cliffs by the Ocean, (El Matador was a standout, for sure...), headed inland to Eagle Rock and saw some ol' Chicago friends who opened a 2nd location for their record shop, Lance + Liz @ Permanent Records, right across the street from some stellar Mexican food with Sara's ol' homey Justin... dursch! Afterwards, we rolled down to Venice to see the original Poon, my old school college bro Bozick... Venice nights! Spent a few days down there, shot FYF Fest for URB Magazine on Saturday in downtown LA (thanks for the photo pass Josh!) Then we headed out to the desert to stay a night in Palm Springs and check out the Moon Block Party put on by Jeffertitti's Nile, a rippin' psych band from the area, with one of my fave bands from the Bay Area headlining, Lumerians... Checked out Joshua Tree for a bit the following morning, then headed out to the LBC to see Anne, Tracie and Jason for the night... that's a quick rap i guess, and trips out to Cali always seem to go by too fast and linger on my mind for awhile... hope to make it back soon!
