Scenes from the streets surrounding Ground Zero on the 12 year anniversary of 9/11 -
I try to head down to lower Manhattan every year to pay respects and scope out the scene surrounding the World Trade Center; a mix of various mourners, family members, firemen, first responders, tourists, media, curious onlookers, conspiracy theorists, religious zealots, a huge police presence (more so than in previous years it seems), people who work in the area and walk by on their lunch breaks, all eyes intermittently glancing upwards, then looking down again. As the years pass, the intensity seems to cool off but the deep-rooted collective feeling of loss remains...

All this chill, sunny weather's got me out strollin' again... along with a new schedule and the whole head switcharoo which accompanies it...
Had some time this past weekend to take a trip to Chelsea so I could finally check out the Alex Webb exhibit, 'The Suffering of Light', over at Aperture Foundation.

Occupy Wall Street NYC took to the streets Wednesday afternoon for its largest march yet on City Hall and Foley Square, joining up with labor groups, students and more, reports clocking in at over 50,000 in attendance.... Here's some of what I saw:
